One Week Later
« on: May 03, 2017, 05:26:36 pm »
3Reds and I caught this small hive in a local cemetery.  They had set up camp in an irrigation box.

We brought them home and put them in the Nuc.  I think the queen is doing a good job!

Geez! I think that is one of the loveliest vids I've seen, and look at 3Reds being ever so gentle and precise. Very Nice Job you two?

I was wondering if anyone would spot the queen.

I thought I might mark her, but I'm starting to get good at spotting queens.

Well, at least I am as long as the colony is small.   ;D

wm, my personal preference is to leave a queen unmarked, only once in a great awhile do i mark them. (selling a nuc).

you managed to find and capture a great photo of that queen!

Confession: I didn't know she was on that frame until after we got back in the house and I started looking at the pictures.

Is that a newly emerged bee on the right side of this picture?
The one just crossing over the rubber band with a more mature sister to her right.
