Sold My First Nuc! Excited And Want To Deliver It Perfect!

  So last night at our county bee meeting, one of the mentors set up a deal with his student and my medium nuc, of which will be turned into a medium hive, and delivered today or this eve.

Can I set up the hive today and place it back where this nuc sat, then wait until this evening for the foragers to come home? Would those foragers go back to this hive? This hive has about 10 queen cells, but I didn't locate the queen yesterday. So I don't know if the hive has pheromones.

My understanding is that the foragers will return (are oriented to) the location, not the hive, so yes, they will return to the "new hive".   Does the mentor/new keep understand that there are queen cells and not necessarily a laying queen?

My further understanding, perhaps incorrectly, is that queen cells have their own pheromones which let the bees know all is well.  Congratulations Jen!  TaaDaa, you did it!  Ted
