busy phone today

3 swarm calls, 2 cutouts, & a trapout. I've quit doing trapouts unless they are less than a mile  away & do not require a ladder.

Sounds like it! I quit doing cutouts. Too hot and too long for the reward that can easily be acquired by a swarm shake.  Trap outs wear ya out too. Plus, taking a frame of eggs from my hives for bait just seems to mess thins up.

Calls here too and I totally quit doing cutouts to my South and even hesitant on swarms. Seems smarter here in AZ to do splits or purchase packages after my last experience with AHB.
Cheers, Bill

Experience makes us all just a little bit smarter. :D
I hand off almost all trap-outs and cut-outs now as well, but will go for a swarm if it is reasonably close.

did two cut outs already, swarms had just moved in maybe a week.
I start at $300 and go up from there, well did both of these for free.
Was easy enough to get and did not put anything back. OH well!!

Bees are bees and do as they please!

The truck is fair game, just a much more stable ladder as far as I'm concerned. I've stood on the roof to catch a couple. :D

G3, I don't know what it is about folks up here but you wouldn't find many willing to pay that much to save bees. If I was to guess I'd say $200 tops for most folks, and that's why I hand most of them off now.
