Spring surprise!
« on: February 28, 2017, 08:41:09 pm »
One of my Treeing Walker coonhounds, presented us with a litter of 5 pups. Jeannie caught my male, Thor, when he dug into her kennel. I hoped the timing was wrong but nature will out. He is purebred but unregistered as I never intended on breeding him. I've been saying I was going to have him neutered but put it off-to my chagrin. Mother is registered and when these pups are grown and treeing they can be "open registered".

Here's a vid of grand girl and her BFF since kindergarten playing with the little fellows.

I know our membership is all over the globe but if anyone knows someone in the Ozarks area that wants a free coonpup from some serious blood they are free.

There blood goes back to the Nocturnal and Stylish lines. Anyone who knows Treeing Walkers will recognize these lines.  :)

AHHH!  NOTHNG is moe fun that teachign a pup! The sound of your pup hitting tree, and his voice echoing across the bottom in the darkness has always been enough to send goosebumps up my arms and back.
I never understood why the small light on the battery pack was called a walking light...  Once I flip it on I am usually running....

I have run blueticks and Black and Tans..   The walkers I have run with were usually too long legged for this old guy. But that may well have been how they were trained, never owned a walker of my own.
NICE looking litter of pups! Your going to have those girls training those pups right?  ;D

lazy,

I'm dog poor. These little fellows gotta go.

I agree though, nothing cuter than a hound pup. :)

Thought I'd update. Was fortunate enough to place all these pups with homes. My hounds are known locally and I guess that helped.

Perry,

I'm thinking a 1000+ mile trip to get a pup is a little extreme. :)
