nothing like building my own hives
« on: January 25, 2017, 07:37:18 pm »
coming from working half my life as a construction worker, framing up walls, and forms for concrete, this hive making sure has been an experience. Just have the hive stands made, SBB are cut out, hive boxes are cut, now to use this new fangled contraption called a dado blade. They didnt teach me this stuff growing up.. :D :D

Are you going with finger joints?

Don't do what I did, and use thumb joints.

CBT, I was afraid I would screw up more than I made trying to use the finger joints, I am going to try the spline joint and see how it does.

Perry, I am trying to keep those parts intact for now, but eventually something will happen worth a picture on here..

I spent a many a night and day building boxes etc.  Finally sold off all my wood working tools and filled the shop with  CNC equipment and went into building tooling
