What 40 Acre said.. I use 50 lb bags of sugar and heat them at 200 degrees for about two hours and let them cool off over night before popping them out, but same principle and idea.
I have considered fondant, but have yet to find any that is cheaper than 50lb bags of sugar from Hy-Vee. i am sure it would be less work, but it gives me a reason to drink Rum and Coke and stare at the oven for two hours at a time!!
