Too early to think about winter, I just want some cooler weather now. When November gets here I will start thinking about winter. I just got rid of it 3 months ago.

I changed my mind, I am ready for winter.  We are in a scorcher of a heat wave.  Temps in the 90's and heat index today is supposed to be a record of 105.  I hate humidity!

Maybe it won't jump from summer to winter like it did from winter to summer and nothing in between.

The thing I love about Ozarks weather is we have 4 distinct seasons. Enough heat in summer to grow corn, okra and sweet potatoes. Gorgeous fall colors followed by lovely winter snows that generally melt off within 4-5 days. Then spring breaks out and explodes with color.
Where I grew up in New Orleans, if it freezes hard in the winter the city literally shuts down-so many pipes break there is no water pressure. Gets so hot in summer old folks can't get out of the AC.

Neil, our weather this Summer has been beastly.  As usual for the Hudson Valley our Spring comes and goes so quickly.  We never have a nice gradual warm up.  It could be 50 one day and the next 85.  Fall is usually pleasant but with the weather being off kilter, we might get snow in October.

Boy the Olympics have taught me a bit. Always thought move to South America in the winter and enjoy the weather then move back her in our winter and enjoy it.

With the weather reports from there it sounds like a good place for people who love this crappy heat and humidity.
