New extractor

I'm the proud new owner of a 30 frame Maxant extractor (the unit looks to be 30 years old or so, but runs like new).  It's way bigger than I need, but for $750 I could not pass it up.  I'm thinking I might trade someone for the 20 frame version though.  This thing is really quite big.

I think I paid a bit more than that for a 3100P Maxant.  It is a THREE frame extractor.  Great purchase.

I thought about offering a swap, but I really like my 20 frame maxant.  If you could throw in a maxant 16 gallon bottling bucket I'd consider a straight trade.  Just to help you out of course!

   Just because its a 30 frame extractor doesnt mean you have to put 30 frames in it.. two frames across from each other will still extract.. And, as mentioned.. I also recall someone talking about expanding?
   my 24 frame extractor is also a beast, but theres no way I am giving it up. I will use it until I reach my first million in the business account, then I will consider upgrading

There is a bunch of other stuff for sale.  It's actually one of the local long time bee keepers that passed away.  His wife is selling the gear off.  There is a 600+ pound stainless bottling tank ($300?) and a couple of smaller ones that look like they hold maybe 15 or 20 gallons ($75 each).  Also a garage full of used boxes.   If you're in the market Apisbees, I can pass on an email address to you.

Other than the size, I have no complaints with that extractor. OK - it does take about a medium super to "grease it up" each year.    Otherwise - a well made piece of equipment that should last for generations. I've downsized and am really torn about trading mine off.

I made a tilting stand for my 20 frame extractor so I didn't have to let extra pounds sit in the bottom of the extractor.
